Imagine walking down a country lane, along a river bank or a canal path during the spring and early summer months the sun warming you, no coat necessary, just you, the birds singing and beautiful scenery all around, in the verges there are an array of wild flowers, some you may consider as being a weed, but none the less all looking and smelling delicious, a feast for the senses .. if only it could be bottled .. well you need to wait no longer, Jo Malone have only done this with the new Wild Flowers and Weeds limited edition perfumes and in true form have created five fabulous new scents which captures exactly this.
I was so lucky to be asked along to the Jo Malone Bath store to have a fragrance consultation with these new limited edition perfumes, I have been to the Bath store for a few events and as always the welcome is second to none, this time being no different. I was offered a drink of either Prosecco or Rhubarb non-alcoholic fizz, I chose the latter as I was driving. After a good chat with Nicola & Christina about life, insta & blogging, my fragrance consultation began, the knowledge these girls have of all the perfumes is truly outstanding. I was given each fragrance to smell one at a time, but at the same time being taken on a journey down the canal path, river bank or country road & being told about all the base notes, it was really interesting and each scent took me on a different path.
I then chose my favourite two scents to work with, Nettle & Wild Achillea, which for me has the most zingy fresh fragrance, it awakens your senses a perfect scent to get you up and raring to go, think of it it like having a glass of Berocca first thing & the other was Lupin & Patchouli this is a more flowery fragrance, but still with a bit a a kick its definitely not a shy fragrance & I love it.
Now it was time for my hand and arm massage, which if you have ever had one you know how gorgeous it is, honestly if you haven’t experience this yet I highly recommend it (you can book it online or at your nearest store & its complimentary), this was to be my third (yep they are that good) my chosen scents were then paired with other scents from the Jo Malone range which you can use together to build up your fragrance by using a body wash or body lotion, from there I chose my ultimate favourite Nettle & Achillea from the Wild flower & Weeds range and to compliment it Pear & Freesia.
Once that was done and I was smelling pretty spectacular I was then given the chance to eat some totally amazing white chocolate decorated with edible flowers (I was intending to also take some home … but totally forgot .. DOH!) and also got the chance to decorate a Jo Malone box with dried wild flowers .. which has now got me wanting to buy a flower press!
After I’d taken a few more photos and chatted a little longer it was time for me to go, time really does fly when you’re having fun, but I couldn’t leave without my two limited edition favourite scents which come in the most gorgeous tin box decorated with wild flowers & weeds in a similar style to the art on a narrow boat. I left smelling amazing and with a beaming smile and I am looking forward to my next visit to Jo Malone in Bath, if you’re ever passing pop in .. you really won’t regret it.
