I thought i’d take you on a very quick tour of my “coming together” bedroom (quick because its only a small room) .. I decided to paint the room as it was magnolia .. which to me always seemed to make the room feel dark, its amazing what a coat or two of white paint can do, the room is so much brighter now.
A few months ago Mr W made me shelves for the corner of the room between the wardrobe and the wall .. I already had the desk, which was originally white, but I thought a change would be good so painted it Farrow & Ball “Moles Breath” this area has become totally girlie and is where I put my face on & style my hair.
This oh so comfy bed is a new addition, and it is most welcome, sleeping never felt so good! I knew I wanted a grey headboard (I have this thing for grey) and this was the perfect size & goes well in the space .. there are a couple of storage drawers (always handy). I obviously had to get new bed linen, cushions & throw to go with it!!
The bedside tables (handed down from my mum), were looking rather tired so I painted them in Farrow & Ball “Moles Breath” and so it wasn’t looking too dark grey Farrow & Ball “Elephants Breath”
The mirror is brilliant and I love that it is so huge.. I can now spend hours in front of it trying on different outfits (like I need an excuse!) I am also bringing the house plant addition into the bedrooms I think they really help make the bedroom feel softer & add a bit of depth.

I decided that the framed prints didn’t need to necessarily be hung on the wall, & I really like the layered look of different sizes and colours.
I hope that you enjoyed the whistle stop tour of my bedroom & my foray into an interiors inspired blog.
Please let me know what you think.
