When the fabulous girls at TUSK Collection asked if I wanted to style a picnic for them, how could I refuse? After all the weather is slowly changing for the better, we are getting more and more sunny days (woo hoo) which means its time for a bit of al fresco dining .. something I look forward to every summer, as you really can’t beat it.
The joy of picnics is you can either go off for the day (I have a few ideas formulating in my head .. I just haven’t told Mr W yet…) .. or you could have a staycation picnic in your garden, we are very lucky in that our garden is a fabulous sun trap with areas of dappled shade & currently the lawn is covered in daisies .. & who doesn’t love a daisy? Well it turns out Mr W isn’t that partial to them & I had to request that he not mow the lawn until I had finished styling / faffing. Of course a staycation picnic means if you forget something you can just pop back into your kitchen .. or is that cheating!
Another joy of the staycation picnic is if like me you like a bit of “faffing” you can really dress it up bringing everything from inside outside. I took the chance to look through all my photos and update my photo albums whilst slowly munching my way through all the food & drinking cloudy lemonade .. honestly my day could not have gotten any better.
So here’s to many (many) more sunny picnic days either at home or away … its such a wonderful way to spend time.
As you can imagine I had a truly wonderful time styling this picnic for TUSK, I was completely in my element & had a HUGE grin on my face whilst doing it. I also hope I’ve inspired to you to get your picnic on too.
All products & a whole lot more can be found on the TUSK website, but I have linked what I used below.
*** I would like to thank Katie & Shelagh of TUSK Collection for giving me the opportunity to style this picnic and for providing most homeware products, which (unfortunately) will all be returned, however, a few items I have bought myself from TUSK with a discount they offer me ****
