If you would have said to me only a year or so ago that I would actually start this blog instead of just thinking about it I would have probably laughed. I love reading lots of other blogs but always thought no one would really be interested in what I say / write .. but here I am with my very own corner of the internet! and I am really enjoying it, its like keeping a journal, I’d like to think that in say 10 years time I will look back on these posts and remember these times.
I started blogging only a couple of months ago, what spurred me on was a visit to an instagram and blog retreat at Cowley Manor, I wanted to have at least started blogging by then even if it was just the one post. Going there without knowing anyone was completely out of my comfort zone, but I did it and had the best of times (note to self: step out of the comfort zone more often) and I even won an Abbott Lyon watch!
Setting it up was not too difficult, it was a basic format (& compared to some other blogs it still is), but as I gain experience and knowledge it will grow and become a lot more sophisticated. I have even had a short meeting with a social media expert who helped me “update” the theme along with giving me a few tips, I came away feeling so happy and positive, poor Mr W had to listen to the whole day I’d had later that evening!
I now have several “posts” under my belt, whether they are booker prize or blogger of the year worthy is doubtful, but that doesn’t really bother me, I really am enjoying writing my thoughts down its also making me think about subjects i’d like to talk about, some more serious than perhaps others .. you never know I may even try a fashion type post after all I am being a more positive me. Again making me step out of that comfort zone (& the zone is getting bigger).
So here’s to me continuing to bloom and to learn .. turns out i’m not too old.
I hope you’ll be here with me as I continue to bloom and enjoy reading these posts as much as I enjoy writing them.
