Earlier this month I celebrated my birthday, among my many lovely gifts and cards, I received a card from Jo Malone Bath inviting me and two friends to have a hand and arm massage, fizz and other treats, and being a big Jo Malone fan I jumped at the offer.
So on Saturday me, my sister Victoria and Phoebe set off extra early for Bath, when we arrived one of our first port of call was to see the beautiful florists which I visited last time I came to Bath and of course a cafe for a much needed coffee fix, then there were the obvious discussions on which shops we wanted for visit, Phoebe being my daughter did me proud and had a long list, which me managed to do before heading off to our appointment at Jo Malone.
Upon our arrival at Jo Malone we talked all things fragrance with the assistant & decided on our preferred fragrance. I already have Peony & Blush perfume and Pear & Freesia body cream which I used for the wedding, I knew I wanted a more autumnal fragrance, but one that was not too heavy and overpowering, in the end I opted for English Oak & Redcurrant.
As i’d previously discovered when looking for my wedding fragrance, the hand and arm massage is a perfect pamper in between a day of wandering around the shops, and of course you leave feeling and smelling amazing, and having had a good chat with the staff who are always lovely and helpful.
Once we were all smelling gorgeous we grabbed some well earned lunch & made our strategy plan for the afternoon, returning to the shops and heading to ones not yet visited.
Soon though our legs were weary and the parking ticket was running out of time … who knew 6 hours could go so quickly! It really was a wonderful day and Bath is such a beautiful city. I think we are already talking of a return visit and I am also thinking it would be great to visit during the Christmas market! Is it too early to mention that word?!
