Those of you who follow me on Instagram will know my children have been away for the last three weeks on holiday with their dad in Portugal, its been very quiet at home .. and I miss them loads .. but in these quiet three weeks I am not one to just sit around and twiddle my thumbs … OH NO !

These three weeks give me a chance to clear out their bedrooms and also give them a proper “carpet cleaning” cleanse .. Its amazing how much “stuff” they gather over a year .. so wardrobe* and some toy clearing* also happens.

This year I decided that their rooms needed a dab of fresh paint .. so I had my mission .. get all rooms looking fresh and new .. with a few added extras from IKEA … which would style their rooms and make them more in-keeping with their style as they grow.

I know three weeks sounds like a long time .. and it is .. but when you need to have everything done and finished before they return .. it seems to whizz by .. but I can thankfully say its all done .. and even if I say so myself, its looking absolutely amazing, I am so excited to see their reactions .. its going to be a little like “Changing Rooms” (you have to be a certain age to remember this program) but a happy ever after one .. only happy tears please …

*No favorite toys and only clothes that are outgrown were given to charity during this years clear out.
I have had a lot of fun sorting their rooms .. my next project .. well i’m yet to decide … but watch this space …
