I thought (having just re-read my 2018 review) that I would once again put fingers to keyboard and write a review of 2019, as its always so lovely to look back on.
I cannot believe that we are at the end of the year already, yet here we are. The start of 2019 was a difficult one, although as I write this things are so brilliantly different now .. along the way there were adventures, everyday life, flowers & coffee … so here is a look at 2019 via my camera roll.
Travels & adventures with Mr W were most definitely a highlight of the year, be it overseas, in a yurt in Stowmarket or a holiday in day a in Tenby these days of us making memories together are so special.
Insta-friendships have been a wonderful part of 2019, and to actually meet these fabulous people has been amazing .. I have made some wonderful friends thanks to instagram .. and plan on meeting these beauties again (& again) in 2020 .. along with a whole heap of others.
Scrolling through my photos on my phone it became apparent that a big part of 2019 was filled with flowers & coffee and flowers & shoes … it never fails to make me smile .. sometimes it really is the small things ..
I have again been so lucky to have worked with some truly amazing brands and dreams have once again come true .. a few of the amazing opportunities that happened in 2019 were visiting the Jo Malone Townhouse, being invited (again .. I mean how lucky can a girl get) to the Boden SS20 preview, working with Joules creating video & style content, continuing to work with the lovely Laura of NOTED Fashion and creating styling blogs & content for Baukjen
I turned 48 and Phoebe made me feel even older as she turned 18, she has made me the proudest mum and has truly blossomed over this year .. she now has two interviews at Universities under her belt and a couple more lined up .. her smile is back and she has the most fantastic group of friends and social life to match.
Of course on my camera roll there is a rather large amount of photos of my time spent snapping away in Herefordshire, from field to train station, town centre to apple orchards … I can honestly say I really do enjoy doing this .. even with some the strange looks I occasionally get!
In the summer I had to opportunity to style a couple of outdoor living scenarios, this is another love of mine, creating these was just a dream .. of course none of the food or drink went to waste, behind me was a gaggle of teens waiting for the words “ok you can eat it now” …
Along the way we have had lots of laughs and very occasional I’ve managed to snap my three and Mr W .. who all generally hide from my camera and any photos being taken!!!
2019 started off rocky but has became a truly wonderful year, full of love, laughter and happiness .. the best kind of year.
I am excited to see what 2020 (and my camera roll at the end of it) has to offer. I hope you’ve enjoyed my 2019 review, and all that remains for me to say is Happy New Year & here’s to what will hopefully be another year full of love & laughter.
Niki xx
