The other week I was once again lucky enough to be invited to an event at the Jo Malone store in beautiful Bath, this time it was in conjunction with the release of the new Jo Malone fragrance Honeysuckle & Davana, which as you’d expect smells amazing.
This time the event was flower crown making, and having only made one before I definitely needed help, but I needn’t have worried, as I had the help of @forgageandblossom on hand.
As soon as you entered the Bath store your eyes were greeted with an abundance of flowers and your nose with all the delicious smells of Jo Malone fragrances, as with all the previous times when visiting the Bath store the staff were so helpful, chatty and just plain lovely.
I was given a glass of fizz (which lets be honest is always a plus), then the flower crown experience started, we started off making sure that the wire was the correct length for my head, it was time to chose which flowers I wanted on my crown, and what a selection there was, faux flowers along with some wonderful fresh ones, the colours were soft peaches, pinks and purples all very pleasing to the eye.
Once I had chosen and cut my flowers it was time to tape them to the wire, which was occasionally a bit tricky, but I had all the help I needed, the whole time people were coming in and out of the store buying their chosen scent, everyone so friendly and chatty, which is probably why it took me so long to finish my crown .. too much chat!
Once finished, it was of course time to get down to some serious smelling .. and the reason for this event, the new fragrance “Honeysuckle & Davana” which using this very English flower gives the scent and feeling of the English countryside, the caption for this is #hellohoney, it really is a lovely fresh happy floral smell, now if you know me you’ll know I couldn’t leave empty handed … it is Jo Malone after all, so I brought myself a perfume (the candle is on my Christmas wish list) to add to my gorgeously growing collection of perfumes “I’ve got too many Jo Malone fragrances …” said no-one EVER !!!
I had, as always when visiting the Bath store, a really wonderful afternoon, the staff there are so friendly and helpful, everything you’d expect and more. I know there are more events coming up and I hope to be lucky enough to be invited again. So if you’re ever in Bath do pop into the store you really will not be disappointed.
