At the age of …. well I’ll let you guess (please be kind) I have finally found a skincare range that I am totally passionate and in love with .. one that keeps my skin hydrated all (and I mean all) day .. and yep you’ve guessed it .. ALL night! Its been a long journey to get to this point, but truth be known I haven’t really helped myself …. so let me take you to the beginning .. a very good place to start (theres a song in there somewhere) ..
I suffer from eczema & have my whole life, as a teen it was fairly bad, it covered most of my hands (which I was very conscious of & still am now if I’m honest), the back of my knees .. and sometimes on my face, but as I’ve grown it has become less .. I still get flare ups but absolutely not as bad, my skin has always been “very dry to dry”, so from a very young age I have moisturised daily, I use quite thick greasy body creams so I can feel that there is something moisturising my skin. With my face I have generally used what ever has been on offer or whatever the cheapest cream was, my face never truly felt moisturised, it always had that dry feel to it nothing really truly worked for me.
Fast forward to spring this year, I was in Bath having a my bridal make up done at Bobbi Brown, I have never had anything like this done before, so it was a real treat for me .. and if I’m honest I didn’t know what to expect. All my makeup was removed and a discussion about my skin type commenced, the assistant was so helpful .. and no pressure was place on me to buy any of the products .. but I knew as soon as it was on my skin that something was different .. up until that point I had never believed a cream or products could make a huge difference .. I was very wrong! By the end of the session my bridal makeup was done and I felt and looked amazing (even if I do say so myself) .. Change was in the air!
Skip forward 7 months and my skin has never felt or been better, my chicken neck (yes for all those youngsters reading this look after your neck) is so much less .. well chickeney! My skin feels and looks great, I am slowly building on all the products that I know work for me and trying new ones which are sent as free samples (if you order over a certain amount), which I think is brilliant as you get to “try before you buy”.
Just in case you’re wondering no I don’t work for Bobbi Brown (& never have) and no this is not an #ad I just really love the product and it has made a huge difference for me, so thought I’d share.
So here’s to fabulous feeling skin and feeling great because of it .. confidence comes in all forms .. and for me some of it comes from how my skin feels and looks .. & that can’t be bad.
