I love Christmas, it’s a time when we become super sociable and celebrate the festivities. So this year we decided to up our game and throw a small party for family and a few friends, I love receiving invitations to parties of any kind, so thought why not make it official and a little bit special, so I asked my gorgeous friend & talented artist Charlie (who has just started her new business venture Fogg Paper Co) to design some cards for me … I was so so happy with what she came up with.
The invites were sent and the day arrived, so it was time to start cooking and making our home festive and ready for everyone. Phoebe made some gingerbread and once cool Phoebe, Archie & Harry decorated them, Mr W cooked one of his famous hams and I made salads, tarts & the Prosecco was chilled … we were all dressed to impress .. we were ready.
Christmas music was playing and everyone started to arrive, its so good catching up with everyone, some we may have seen recently, but others may have been a while, but its always the same … its as if time hadn’t passed and we pick up where we left.
There was a little bit of dancing too … mainly by me! … I do love a good dance (although obviously “dance” is very loose statement) .. but when the Prosecco is flowing and good music is on what else is there to do!!
Everyone had a good time with lots of fizz, chat & laughter … a perfect day.
So as I type this blog post it’s one more sleep until the the big day. I hope you have the most wonderful & magical Christmas wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
