I was so lucky that I got a ticket to go to Lauren’s (of @Huntersandheels) first insta meet … lucky in that when the tickets (limited to 40) went on sale it broke the internet!
The event was held at Verzon House (owned by Chase Distillery) near Ledbury (a stones throw from my home) … a stunning hotel and restaurant with beautiful interiors, grounds & the food is delicious & locally sourced.

I arrived just after mid-day , the function room was already full .. it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, people that i’d followed and chatted to, also faces of those i’d yet to meet .. friends to be made. Upon arrival we were told which group we were in for wreath making, so whilst the first group created their wreaths we chatted, took photos (it was an instameet after all), had our make up done by none other that Bobbi Brown UK and ate some delicious cakes and scones with a glass of fizz!

Another event during the afternoon was a cocktail master class held by Chase Distillery in which some very tasty cocktails were made (& consumed), the professionals made it look so easy.

The time then came for me to get creative (or at least try to) with my wreath, this was the first time i’d even attempted to make a wreath, but we were in safe hands with the Great British Florists who guided those who were novices amongst us, my wreath turned out to be a rather wild and untamed creation which I rather like .. I have to say I really did enjoy making it.

The room that the event was held in is stunning with huge statement lighting and a magnificent stag head over the fire place, there were Jo Malone candles lit everywhere which smelt absolutely amazing (these are now on my Christmas list).

As the afternoon drew to a close those who hadn’t met until then exchanged insta names and those who knew each other said goodbye, but Lauren has organised one last surprise .. a goody bag filled with products from brands such as Jo Malone, Bobbi Brown, The White Company and Joules.

I feel very privileged to have been able to go there, a whole afternoon full of inspirational women who encourage, support & make you laugh .. friends in a little app called instagram that have become friends in real life … what a beautiful community we have created & I feel very lucky to be part of it.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my afternoon at the #huntersandheelsinstameet and that hopefully this was just the first of many … my fingers a most definitely crossed.
