I love instagram and think the positives definitely outweigh any negatives take last Saturday for instance, I met up with three fabulous women who had it not have been for instragram I would never have met, we all live in different locations but have been chatting on insta for quite a while, so decided that we should all finally meet in person .. so plans were made…

We decided to meet in Bath as that was the nearest city to all of us … of course we were also well aware of all the fabulous shops which needed to be browsed! We met outside one our favourite stores .. Bobbi Brown, I already knew Laura (dayinthelifeof_laura) having met her in London earlier this year & had met Zoe (the.blonde.blog) previously at an instameet and at the confetti flowers fields last year, but I had never met the lovely Abi (homeinhoneyfields) .. but you would never have know that for some it was the first time meeting … as we chatted away from the off .. and of course took a few photos for the gram.

We had organised to have lunch at The Ivy, of course a totally instragrammable place, and once we had collared an unsuspecting member of public to take our photo, we headed inside. We ordered drinks and some rather delicious lunch and chatted the whole time, so much so that time whizzed by (which we didn’t realise) so had to hot foot it back to the car park.

I honestly feel so lucky to have been able to meet such lovely, inspiring, kind people through an app … and there are more in my phone some who I chat to almost daily, some weekly & others occasionally, people whose feeds (& blogs) inspire me with everything from photography to new recipes to try out. So lets sing the praises of this wonderful little app (which yes is occasionally a little irksome .. we won’t mention the dreaded algorithm) without which I wouldn’t have met such amazing people.

I really had such a wonderful day & to top it off there was even talk of a Christmas meet up … eeeeeeeeck.
