On Saturday I was invited to the Jo Malone boutique in Bath to experience the new range of Blossom fragrances, all of which come in the most beautiful bright eye catching luminous bottles. Usually I travel to Bath on my own, but because it was a Saturday (and long weekend) Mr W came along too knowing full well that he would of course at some stage have to be insta hubby extraordinaire .. it was also good practice for our up coming trip to Barcelona. So whilst I was being pampered Mr W had a coffee & prepared for the morning of potential photography ahead (honestly he loves it!!!).
As always the welcome was amazing, and even though it was approximately 09:35 I was still offered and accepted a Prosecco (I was thinking it was 5 o’clock somewhere & I had also got me a driver .. bonus), I had a good catch up with the girls who I am now getting to know rather well (which I think is fabulous), I was then taken through all the Blossom fragrances smelling each one and being given all the information on what the top, heart & base notes were, it was very difficult but I then decided which of the Blossom scents I most preferred (for me it was Orange Blossom) I then had a hand and arm massage (which is complimentary & you can book online) with my chosen fragrance, it really is so relaxing and enjoyable, the body cream is so lovely and rich, it really keeps your hands and arms moisturised for the whole day.
There is not only cologne to choose from in the new range of Blossom scents but also candles and hair mist which of course I tried (& loved), & there is a brand new fragrance Frangipani Flower which has a wonderfully fresh floral scent with a real warmth too. My chosen fragrance of Orange Blossom is of course just as gorgeous & again as you’d expect very fresh with a hint of added zing (I do love zing in my fragrance).
It was once again time to say goodbye to the girls at Jo Malone Bath & meet up with Mr W who confirmed what I already knew .. I smelt amazing. We both really love visiting Bath and Mr W is really rather a good shopper (he’s quite happy to wander and mooch around the shops), we had a few places that we wanted to visit which we did, but we also really enjoyed looking at all the beautiful buildings, taking time to appreciate the fabulous weather.
Of course I couldn’t let the opportunity of having an on hand photographer with me go to waste .. so I asked really nicely (begged and pleaded) with Mr W to take a few snaps of me … only occasionally having to “direct / help” with the photography .. he was of course super patient and as always loved every minute … he really can’t wait to do it all again in Barcelona 😉
Once all the photos were nailed we went of in search of food … I had already booked a table at The Ivy in Bath, somewhere that I’ve often wanted to visit having heard many people talk about it … the decor was truly eye popping .. a feast for the eyes with colours and pattern everywhere, utterly fabulous, but of course we also needed to eat so hoped the food was as good as the decor … you’ll be relieved to know it really was, so with full bellies and a camera full of photos we headed home.
I really love days like these wandering around a beautiful town (whilst smelling amazing), chatting as we walk, taking in the beauty of the buildings and of course taking a few photos, along the way, simple and happy memories.
Niki xx
