On Bank Holiday Monday we (that’s me & Mr W) decided that we would have a day at the beach, we went to one our favourite places … Tenby .. we asked the three teens if they would like to go with us, but they declined. We set off reasonably early in the morning as it takes around two & half hours (in good traffic) and we had obviously looked ahead to see how the weather would be and we were to be very lucky.
We arrived in good time with plenty of spaces in the long stay car park (which was a very reasonable price), and we headed straight for the beach …
We wandered along the beach, which was quite empty although some were already swimming in the sea (I knew I should have taken my swimsuit), we watched a handful of boats bobbing on the sea, it was such a gloriously beautiful day, the colourful houses of Tenby lined the way.
We also caught the bus to Saunderfoot, a place both of us used to visit separately on holiday when we were young kids with our families, it bought back so many memories.
Of course it wouldn’t have been a holiday in a day if we hadn’t had fish and chips or a Mr Whippy.
It was such a fabulously fun day, and it really felt like we had been on holiday, we got home in time to clean the kitchen, put some washing on and make the dinner .. !!
