It only seems like yesterday that we were ringing in the new year of 2017 .. and now here we are fast approaching the last day of it! … so much seems to have happened .. but I am also really excited for the new adventures to be had in 2018 .. here’s a few highlights on what has been a brilliant (in my opinion) year … & a few hopes for the new year ..
Obviously the first thing I should mention is this .. I started this blog in August, although it feels that have been doing it for a lot longer (in a good way), I was so nervous about starting it …. and still am if i’m honest, but I really do enjoy writing what i hope will become something that I can look back on in years to come, I get a lot of pleasure thinking about things that I can write about, be it interiors, what i’m liking / loving / wishing for or about whats happened in my life, I also really enjoy the creative side of it .. putting it together … taking the photos to go with the posts .. and I really hope you enjoy reading what I write & see that I get so much enjoyment from it. I obviously would like it to do well and really get a thrill when you “like” or comment on my posts .. so please keep it up.
2017 is also the year I got engaged to my lovely Mr W .. a total surprise when he asked me .. but absolute no hesitation in my YES YES YES … I really can’t wait until the big day .. which will be in the summer of 2018, I will of course let you know all the details .. a large part of 2018 will be sorting bits out for the big day, although we already know that it will be a small intimate affair .. I am thinking about table decorations, flowers and cakes, I will be searching Pinterest / Instagram for ideas, although I do have a few up my sleeve.
I started my new job on 1st December, still only part time, but the potential is there to do more hours and have more responsibility, I am no high flyer but I think surrounded by the right people anything can be possible .. this I believe is also relevant in life in general talking of which ….
I have also been lucky to have attended a couple of blogger / instameet ups, which I really (really really) enjoyed, I love this community and the support it gives you, the creativity it allows you to have and the amazing people you can meet either face to face or communicate with via insta or blog, I really have bloomed over this past year thanks to all of you.
So looking towards 2018, things that I know are happening other than getting married .. Phoebe will be taking her GCSE’s although I have absolutely no doubt she will do brilliantly any tips on reducing stress levels are and will be greatly received. I hope that my blog grows as I do with confidence (& that you all continue to read it), I would love to meet more of you face to face either for some fizz or a coffee and slice of cake.
Whatever 2018 brings I hope its a great one for all of you. Lets raise a glass (or cup) to new adventures .. I can’t wait to hear all about them.
Niki xx
