“Working 9-5 .. what a way to make a living” .. sang the wonderful Dolly Parton who is often heard on repeat through my speakers. I however make my living by working 8-5 if we’re going to be niggly.
If you know me by now you’ll know that I love clothes and I love styling my outfits, I want to look good & feel confident wearing them, this is doesn’t stop when it comes to my workwear wardrobe, I am there for the majority part of my day, I want to look professional, smart and of course feel great too, so I thought I’d style a Monday to Friday workwear blog post with the help of the gorgeous lot at Baukjen wearing their simple, super stylish clothes that will not only make you feel fabulous in the office but also out and about as these clothes are not just limited to workwear.
Monday – Start as you mean to go on, this Quinn Blazer & Quinn Trousers are perfect for those Monday morning blues, they will just make them fade away, style with a casual tee or blouse & teamed with the elegant leather Rina Tote you’ll be on top form and ready for the week ahead.
Tuesday – We’ve all heard about the pinstripe suit, Baukjen have turned this classic into a super stylish and fun Harriet Wrap Dress, with the stripes stealing the show it also has fabulous flared sleeves, its a real eye catcher, this dress will work for you all year round without fail and teamed with the bright fun Emily Bag you’ll be turning heads.
Wednesday – time to get out the pencil skirt with a difference, the Brea Skirt is the pencil skirt with added modern chic, having buttons on both sides which gives it that extra bit of detail, of course the look wouldn’t be complete without the classic white shirt, and the Ellen Safari Shirt is THE one .. it is honestly so soft and falls perfectly. Both items look great together but also of course styled with other clothes, both are absolute classics.
Thursday – Almost the weekend and time for the showstopper of the week, the Effie Dress gives you a wonderful silhouette and will make you feel A-MAZE-ING, in the summer all you need is sandals, come the autumn dress with a jacket and boots .. you’ll still feel fabulous. This dress is a dress for any occasion.
FriYAY – in our office its also known as jeans day or “dress down Friday” now as a lover of style I still want to look my best, and as a receptionist I still think its important for me to look smart to welcome visitors that come into the office .. I love this outfit and feel great in it .. its the classic jeans and white tee with (a difference) .. these jeans are the Boyfriend Jeans which I think are really flattering and the the Rosetta Top is just so simple and stylish, with feminine details on the shoulder & trim. Of course this will also go with the Quinn Suit, shorts, skirts basically everything … its perfect for summers day .
I think you’ll agree thats Monday to Friday completely covered, and all of these clothes will take you from season to season.
